N<\/strong>At the premises of the Municipality of Sarand\u00eb, an exhibition was presented to the citizens of Sarand\u00eb featuring profiles of the missing persons during communism, testimonies collected from families of the missing, and a guide for the families of the disappeared during communism. The event was attended by families of the missing in the coastal and border areas as well as in Sarand\u00eb, associations of persecuted persons and memory, representatives of interest groups, civil society actors, and journalists.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On August 23 and 24,<\/strong>\u00a0On European Day, in memory of the victims of totalitarianism, the Authority's team conducted an educational and commemorative trip, as well as presentation meetings in the Tepelena and Gjirokastra areas, as part of the ICMP-AIDSSH project. Exhibition on the disappeared under communism \u201cThe Sigurimi in its own words\u201d held on August 30, 2021<\/strong>, AIDSSH presented historical data from 19 branches of the former State Security across the country. The exhibition was installed in the \u201cFadil Kokomani, Vangjel Lezho\u201d park near the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, named after two journalists whose remains are still missing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

was held at the premises of\u00a0<\/strong>the Palace of Concerts (Former Palace of Congresses),\u00a0<\/strong>on November 18, 2021, a project by AIDSSH in cooperation with the \u201cTirana\u201d Association, the Institute of History, ASA, and the European University of Tirana, supported by the Municipality of Tirana. The archival exhibition featuring materials opened for the first time marked the beginning of the Dialogue for Tirana activities, covering the half-century during which the capital was surveilled, persecuted, and oppressed by the communist regime.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
