invite you to submit presentation proposals for the scientific symposium When State Security Engaged in Science: Exploration and Development of the Oil Sector under the Control of the State Security, which will be held on July 3, 2024, in Tirana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The symposium will focus on the following main topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 The politics of the time in the oil industry;\nPreviously unknown State Security documents and analytical statistics;\nChallenges and consequences for individual privacy and freedom within the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 The role of oil in economic development and its contribution to the national economy, exports, and social progress, as well as aspects of international relations;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 The punishment and persecution of the so-called \"scapegoats.\"\nIdentification of attempts to eliminate political opponents and internal victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Resistance: activism and the voices of those who were not silenced by state policies in the oil industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 The government's role in managing resources related to the exploitation of oil reserves and their impact on the environment and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Examination of the consequences generated by the exploitation of oil and the assessment of transparency and accountability in the management of these resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Identification of the security challenges and protections of oil resources, including the utilization of extraction sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Examination and monitoring of oil exploitation indicators in the political, economic, and social stability of communist Albania, including analyses at both domestic and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Identification and evaluation of issues related to property rights in oil exploitation fields, including violations of human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
