The Authority for Information on the Documents of the Former State Security (AIDSSH) is an independent institution, funded by the state budget. It was established and operates based on Law No. 45/2015, “On the Right to Information for the Documents of the Former State Security of the People’s Socialist Republic of Albania,” as amended.
The structure, staffing, and salary classification of the Authority for Information on the Documents of the Former State Security (AIDSSH) were approved by the Albanian Parliament with Decision No. 95/2016, “On the approval of the structure, staffing, and salary classification of the Authority for Information on the Documents of the Former State Security,” amended by Parliamentary Decisions No. 26/2022, No. 19/2023, and No. 113/2023.
